Foundation Formula (FF) is a great, high-potency powder multiple
and you can mix it up either way. Basically, the simpler the recipe, the more likely it can be shaken and mixed well. A juice and FF is simple to shake. So is chocolate milk and FF. But FF shines as a smoothie and for that you will need a blender. Keep in mind that a good shake depends on three factors: the liquid, number of ingredients used and the taste. LIQUID:
The most important factor is to use enough liquid so that the powder will dissolve. Eight ounces is a good measure for two full scoops;
four ounces for one scoop. If you are adding protein powder, that factors into the liquid equation as well. INGREDIENTS:
The more ingredients used, the more imaginative a shake can be. Whole or frozen fruits and even ice cream or frozen yogurt can be tossed into the blend.
Your taste buds are also less likely to get bored! TASTE: B vitamins can taste stronger than other vitamins and FF has a full complex of B's. Balance the B's with banana, chocolate or pineapple makes for a tastier shake. Most shakes are better cold, so substituting frozen for fresh turns up the flavor. Powders dissolve quickly so drink up within 10-15 minutes, whether shaken or blended. Read more on the how to's in TyH's SHAKES & SMOOTHIES.* Send us your favorite Foundation Formula shake recipe.
