There are zero deaths from supplements. Can prescription drugs boast the same record? The 31st annual report from the American Association of Poison Control Centers show zero deaths in 2013 from multiple vitamins, vitamins A, B, C, D, E or any other vitamin.

Do the math.

Statistically, if the more than half of Americans taking supplements took only one dose a day, that's 170 million doses daily. Since most supplement takers consume more than one (and more than one kind of supplement) surely any adverse effects would be known, given the large population numbers.

Thankfully, news on the benefits of supplementing does get national attention.
