PROBIOTICS, Healthy Planting for Immunity
There’s a whole lot of activity going on hidden inside your gastrointestinal (GI) tract Once a mystery, this microbiome of trillions of microorganisms exists to perform multiple tasks beyond digestion and elimination. Along came the Microbiome Project to map the DNA sequences. Scientists learned what the DNA in those tiny GI organisms were programming the cell to do, how they do it and their interactions within the microbiome. It was a giant undertaking since there are more than 500 different microorganisms! That is like trying to know your 500 neighbors, their kids, grandkids and so on! What did they find? It gets a bit complicated to explain but here goes!

Immune Support & More from Fungi!
Are you afraid of medicinal mushrooms?
Talk about mushrooms and some people conjure up an image of plucking strange, poisonous plants in the woods while others see a plate of edible delicacies. Thankfully, you can reap mushrooms; medicinal bounty without the worry or the work by simply picking a supplement at the store instead of in the forest! Mushrooms aren’t really plants since they lack chlorophyll and a plant structure of leaves, stem and roots. They belong to the fungus family of organisms. There are more than 10,000 kinds and several different categories, one of which is medicinal. Notable examples are reishi. , lion’s mane turkey tail, cordyceps and shitake.
How do You Take 5-HTP for Fibromyalgia?
Posted by Margy on 12/31/2022 to
Fibromyalgia
This is an interesting question for several reasons.
ONE. Fibromyalgia (FM) is different for each person with the diagnosis. Symptoms range from fatigue and light achiness to all over, intense pain. Other symptoms include poor sleep with next day brain fog, irritable bowel and/or bladder and intolerance to drafts, multiple chemicals and damp weather.
TWO. Symptoms change. For some, FM symptoms wax and wane and are unpredictable on a daily basis. For others, symptoms may get worse over time and with aging.
THREE. Yet a third reason is whether or not there is a co-existing condition. If you already have arthritis or another auto-immune disorder, it is difficult to know whether it is the FM or the “other” condition that is causing symptoms.
Yet, even with the complexity of FM, research has shown that treatment with 5-HTP is beneficial in reducing many of FM symptoms.

Hurray for the season of JOY! I hope you are shopping smart during the holidays. While I am all into retail therapy, I also recognize the need not to unbalance the budget while doing and feeling good about giving! As we hand over that magic plastic, consider one more gift on your list to yourself, the gift of health. Amidst the stress and skimping on sleep to get everything done, remember to take your supplements to both to keep up your energy and support your relaxation when it is time for you to unwind.
Even though December is the last month of the year, anytime is a good time to take extra efforts to take care of yourself.
